(Steve Perez/The Detroit News) Detroit Mayoral candidate Mike Duggan appealed a ruling removing him from the August ballot Wednesday and vowed to continue his campaign. A spokeswoman for the Michigan Supreme Court said late Wednesday afternoon that the Michigan Court of Appeals had received an appeal in the case. A Wayne County Circuit Court judge ruled Tuesday that Duggan is ineligible to run because he violated the City Charters residency requirements.
