Tony Briscoe The Detroit News Comments The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for southern Michigan counties including Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe and Lenawee. The watch remains in affect until midnight. Powerful scattered stormed are expected to develop late Tuesday afternoon, bringing a slight chance for 60 mph winds and hail up to one inch in diameter. As of 7:45 p.m., radar showed severe thunderstorms stretching from Kalamazoo to Coldwater. The storms are moving east at 30 mph, according to the weather service.
