Ford's impact on Detroit suburb focus of talk

Associated Press Comments Lincoln Park — Henry Ford’s impact on the early development of the suburb will be the focus of a presentation marking the Ford Motor Co. namesake’s 150th birthday. The presentation, “Henry Ford Birth Sesquicentennial,” will be held Wednesday evening in Lincoln Park and led by Mike Skinner. Skinner is a well-known “Fordophile,” longtime tour guide for The Henry Ford Estate and past president of the Henry Ford Heritage Association. Skinner will discuss how Lincoln Park rapidly developed alongside the auto industry and company Ford founded in Detroit in 1903. It’s now based in Dearborn.
